Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  September 20, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.





(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 23 attacks against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours, including 8 attacks on Luhansk direction, 11 times on Donetsk direction and 4 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian forces shelling with forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers and 152-mm artillery upon Ukrainian positions took place near Novotoshkivske; occupiers shelled upon Ukrainian troops positions near Novotoshkivske; the enemy launched attacks with the use of mortars and grenade launchers in Novozvanivka; Russian proxies fired with small arms in Stanytsya Luhanska and its suburbs;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers launched series of attacks with mortars, grenade launchers and APCs against Ukrainian troops in Pisky; the enemy fired with small arms on Kamyanka – Avdiivka front direction;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian troops shelled with machine guns and grrenade launchers upon Ukrainian positions in Vodyane; Russian forces attack with small arms reported in Starognativka;
(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
