Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  August 1, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces opened fire 18 times upon Ukrainian troops posirions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine during the last 24 hours, including 11 times on Luhansk direction, 5 times on Donetsk direction and 2 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Novooleksandrivka and Popasna came under Russian occupiers fire; Russian forces shelled with grenade launchers upon Ukrainian troops positions near Novotoshkivske; the enemy fulfilled 7 attacks during 7 hours in Krymske with the use of small arms, grenade launchers of different systems and mortars;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers concentrated activities on Avdiivka – Butovka mine frint line and fulfilled 4 attacks there with the use of grenade launchers; another Russian attacks with grenade launchers fire took place in Luhanske;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian occupiers shellings with the use of grenade launchers reported in Pavlopol and Shyrokino;
(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen, but 5 servicemen were wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
