Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 12, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces opened fire 21 times upon Ukrainian troops positions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 9 times on Luhansk direction, 3 times on Donetsk direction and 9 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Novooleksandryvka came under Russian heavy shelling with grenade launchers, high-caliber machine guns, forbidden 82-mm mortars three times; Russian occupiers released 10 mines upon Novotoshkivske; the enemy fulfilled attacks with high-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers upon Ukrainian troops positions in Novozvsnivka and Stanytsya Luhanska;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian hybrid forces used high-caliber machine guns against Ukrainian troops near Burovka mine; the enemy fulfilled attacks with forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers, grenade launchers and small arms at Avdyivka;
(4) Mariupol direction:  Russian occupiers continued shelling upon Ukrainian troops positions in Pavlopol;
(5) 2 Russiam UAVs have been spotted over the sky in Donetskiy-Slovyanoserbsk and Stanytya Luhanska;
(6) 1 Ukrainian serviceman killed in action and 1 serviceman was wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
