Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 31, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces dramatically increased to 26 number of attacks against Ukrainian troops posirions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours, including 15 times on Luhansk direction, 5 times on Donetsk direction and 6 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies shelled Ukrainian troops positions near Novooleksandrivka and Krymske with the use of small arms; in addition, the enemy fired at Novotoshkivske and released  more than 20 mortar mines there; to this end, Russian armed provocations one-hour-long each reported in Katerynivka and Stanytsya Luhanska;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers shelled with small arms upon Ukrainian troops positions in Zaytseve; Russian 40-min shelling reported in Mayorsk; another ceasefire regime violations by Russian forces took place in Avdiivka; to this end, 1,5-hour-long Russian attack reported in Butovka mine;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian forces used small arms during attacks in Maryinka, Lebedynske and Shyrokino, while forbiden mortar fire have been used by the enemy during 2-hours-long attacks in Pavlopol and Hnutove;
(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen, but 4 servicemen were wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past day.
