Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  October 1, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces fired 20 times in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 1 time on Luhansk direction, 10 times on Donetsk direction and 9 times on Mariupol direction; Ukrainian armed forces 12 times returned fire.
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers fired upon Ukrainian troops positions in Stanytsya Luhanska;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian proxies main attacks took place on Kamyanka – Avdiivka – Butovka mine front direction; the enemy used grenade launchers, high caliber machine guns and small arms during several-hours-attack against Ukrainian troops near Avdiivka; high caliber machine guns and small arms was used by Russian occupeirs during shelling at Butovka mine, Nevelske and Mayorsk; Russian forces attack also reported in Pisky;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian troops shelling took place in Bohdanivka and on Pavlopil – Shyrokino front line; Russian proxies shelled with high caliber machine guns at Ukrainian troops near Lebedynske and Vodynae; the enemy fired with forbidden 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms upon Ukrainian positions in Shyrokino;
(5) No lethal casualties reported, but 3 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past 24 hours.
