Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 9, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian occupiers fulfilled 27 attacks upon Ukrainian troops positions over the last 24 hours, including 6 times with the use of forbidden mortar launchers; in particular, the enemy fired 7 times on Luhansk direction, 8 times on Donetsk direction and 12 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: the hottest spot reported around Bahmut root, in particular near the village of Krymske, where the Russian occupiers fired with forbidden 82-mm and 120-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms upon Ukrainian positions; another attack fulfilled by the enemy with the use of mortar launchers and anti-aircraft grenade launchers in the settlement of Troyitske; Russian proxies used hugh csaliber machune guns while shelling upon Ukrainian troops positions in Stanytya Luhanska;
(3) Donetsk direction: surburb of Avdiivka became an epicenter of Russian hybrid forces attacks on this directions, where they fired mostly round the clock, including the use of forbidden 82-mm- and 120-mm mortars; Pisky and Zaytsevo also came under Russian forces shellings, the enemy used APCs, grenade launchers and small arms of different calibers there;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian occupiers fired with 120-mm mortars upon Ukrainian troops in Maryinka suburb; the enemy’s armed provocations reported in Hnutove, Shyrokino, Bohdanyvka, Pavlopil and Novotroyitske, where Russian forces used small arms, high caliber machine guns, grenade launchers of different calibers, APCs and anti-aircraft installations;
(5) No lethal casualties reported but 2 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in actions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
