Ukrainian skier Kateryna Kotsar won silver in the Women’s Big Air World Cup in Steamboat, USA, marking Ukraine’s first-ever medal at this level. The final stage is in March.

After the first jump, the Ukrainian was in seventh place. However, following unsuccessful attempts by her competitors, Kateryna managed to surpass all athletes except Canada’s Naomi Urness, who ultimately won the competition.

Kotsar’s medal is the first in Ukraine’s history in the Big Air World Cup. Until now, other Ukrainian freestyle athletes had not managed to reach the finals at this level.
