Russian attacks on Ukrainian data centers have disrupted TV broadcasting, affecting channels, streaming services, cable operators, and the Cosmonova data center in Kyiv, which ceased operations.
In Kyiv and a number of other Ukrainian cities, the signal of Ukrainian TV channels has begun to disappear on a large scale. In particular, there are problems with watching channels via the MEGOGO and SWEET TV services. In addition, disruptions have also been reported among subscribers of some cable operators. The problems with the TV channels emerged amid Russian attacks on Ukrainian data centers. As dev.ua reports, MEGOGO’s support service said that a data center belonging to the company’s main partner was damaged in the enemy attack.
MEGOGO’s support service also told journalists that due to physical damage to the source, it is currently impossible to transmit the stream to users’ screens. Engineers are working to restore the signal.
Earlier, Russian strikes on data centers had also disrupted the operation of the TV channels Novyny LIVE, Army TV, and My-Ukraina+.
Cosmonova Data Center in Kyiv Ceased Operations After Attacks
As a reminder, the large Cosmonova data center in Kyiv ceased operations following Russian attacks. The data center sustained significant damage as a result of the enemy attack.
Cosmonova said that the data center would no longer operate. The company also said that despite the scale of the damage, work is underway to contain the consequences, partially relocate and restore services.
