The 1,629th day of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.
Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 254 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, Russian forces launched one missile strike involving nine missiles and carried out 87 airstrikes, dropping 278 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the Russian military deployed 10,295 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,193 shelling attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions.
The settlements of Korenok, Studenok, Vyntorivka, Volfyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Ulanove, Kucherivka, Mala Slobidka, Nova Huta, Neskuchne, Vilna Sloboda, Rohizne, Luzhky, Hirky, Bachivsk, Sopych, Tovstodubove and Simeichyne in Sumy region, as well as Halahanivka in Chernihiv region, came under Russian artillery fire.
Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery struck seven areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, two ammunition depots, four command posts and four command posts for unmanned aerial vehicle units.
Operational Update as of 10:00 PM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 170 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day.
Russian forces carried out 59 airstrikes, dropping 180 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 6,343 kamikaze drones and conducted 1,909 attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian assaults. Meanwhile, Russian forces conducted an airstrike using three guided aerial bombs and carried out 51 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
10:00 PM: Russian forces launched one attack, which is still ongoing. Meanwhile, the occupiers carried out 46 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled 25 Russian attacks. Russian forces attempted to advance near the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchansk, Lyman and Artelne, as well as toward Izbytske, Volokhivka, Kupyne, Khatnie, Ukrainske, Bereznyky and Ambarne.
10:00 PM: Russian forces launched seven assaults on Ukrainian positions near Starytsia and Lyman.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched two offensive actions near Petropavlivka and toward Novoplatonivka.
10:00 PM: Russian forces launched one assault today toward the settlement of Novoplatonivka.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian forces repelled attempts to breach their defenses. Russian troops launched 30 attacks toward Drobysheve, Lyman, Dibrova and Ozerne, as well as near Novoiehorivka, Novoselivka, Torske and Yampil.
10:00 PM: 15 attempts by Russian forces to advance were recorded near Novoselivka, Lyman, Dibrova, Dronivka, Kryva Luka and Zakitne. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces conducted seven assault actions near Riznykivka and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.
10:00 PM: Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully stopped four attempts by Russian forces to advance near Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched three attacks near Nykyforivka and toward Yurkivka.
10:00 PM: One Russian assault was recorded near Chasiv Yar.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: 31 Russian attacks were recorded. Russian forces conducted assault operations near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka and Rusyn Yar, as well as toward Dolha Balka and Mykolaipillia.
10:00 PM: Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 22 Russian assaults near Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Torske and Mykolaipillia.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched 26 attacks. They attempted to advance near Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne and Molodetske, as well as toward Kucheriv Yar, Nove Shakhove, Novohryshyne, Shevchenko, Svitle, Serhiivka, Muravka, Matiashove and Novopavlivka.
10:00 PM: Russian forces launched a total of 20 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance near the settlements of Toretske, Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Svitlyi, Bilytske, Novooleksandrivka, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Serhiivka, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske and Novoplatonivka.
According to preliminary estimates, 34 Russian soldiers were killed and 23 wounded in the area today. Ukrainian forces also destroyed three vehicles and five pieces of special equipment belonging to Russian forces. Four artillery systems and three vehicles were damaged. In addition, 335 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
Oleksandrivka Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched three attacks toward Danylivka and Nove Zaporizhzhia.
10:00 PM: Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks near Kalynivske, Danylivka, Yehorivka and Rybne.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched 21 attacks, attempting to advance toward Vozdvyzhivka, Hirke, Staroukrainske, Huliaipolske, Rivne and Tsvitkove.
10:00 PM: Seven Russian attacks were recorded near Vozdvyzhivka, Rivne, Hirke and Charivne. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped two attempts by Russian forces to advance toward Prymorske and near Plavni.
10:00 PM: Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks near Novoselivka, Zarichne and Novoiakivka. Two more combat engagements are still ongoing.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM 10:00 PM: Russian forces conducted no offensive operations during the past day.
Volyn and Polissia Direction
08:00 AM and 10:00 PM: No signs of Russian offensive group formations were detected.
Ukrainian defenders continue to systematically inflict losses on Russian forces and maintain effective resistance across all sectors of the front.
Over the past day, Russian personnel losses totaled 1,470.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed or disabled two tanks, 13 armored combat vehicles, 48 artillery systems, six multiple-launch rocket systems, two air-defense systems, one heavy flamethrower system, 10 ground robotic systems, 1,746 unmanned aerial vehicles, 461 vehicles and six units of special equipment.
