The 1,629th day of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.
Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 212 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, Russian forces launched one missile strike involving one missile and carried out 79 airstrikes, dropping 255 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the Russian military deployed 10,631 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,240 attackson settlements and Ukrainian military positions.
The settlements of Korenok, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Sopych, Ulanove, Otruby, Yastrubshchyna, Seredyna-Buda and Chuikivka in Sumy region, as well as Khrinivka in Chernihiv region, came under Russian artillery fire. In addition, Russian airstrikes targeted the areas of Sumy, Sukhodil, Luzhky and Tovstodubove in Sumy region.
Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery struck 12 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian assaults. Meanwhile, Russian forces carried out an airstrike using one guided aerial bomb and conducted 62 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled 12 Russian attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance near Starytsia and Lyman, as well as toward Volokhivka.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched one attack toward Novoplatonivka.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian forces repelled attempts to breach their defenses. Russian troops launched 10 attacks near Lyman and Dibrova, as well as toward Novoselivka and Karpivka.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces conducted 15 assault actions near Zakitne and Kryva Luka, as well as toward Dronivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched two attacks near Chasiv Yar and toward Yurkivka.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: 26 attacks were recorded. Russian forces conducted assault operations near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka and Ivanopillia, as well as toward Novoselivka, Torske and Mykolaipillia.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped 25 Russian attacks. Russian forces were active near Bilytske, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne and Serhiivka, and conducted assaults toward Kucheriv Yar, Toretske, Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Svitle, Vasylivka, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske and Novoplatonivka.
Oleksandryvskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched four attacks toward Kalynivske, Danylivka, Yehorivka and Rybne.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched eight attacks. They attempted to advance near Hirke and toward Vozdvyzhivka, Rivne and Charivne.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped seven attempts by Russian forces to advance toward Novoselivka, Zarichne, Novoiakivka, Novodanylivka and Pavlivka.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces conducted no offensive operations during the past day.
Volyn and Polissia Direction
08:00 AM: No signs of Russian offensive group formations were detected on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.
Overall, Russian personnel losses over the past day totaled 1,190.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed or disabled four tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 44 artillery systems, one multiple-launch rocket system, two air-defense systems, nine ground robotic systems, 1,578 unmanned aerial vehicles, 307 vehicles and three units of special equipment.
