The 1,644th day of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.
Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 209 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out two missile strikes using three missiles and 80 airstrikes, during which it dropped 234 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the occupiers used 9,641 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,203 attacks on populated areas and the positions of Ukrainian forces, including 83 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems.
Enemy artillery fire struck, among others, the settlements of Bachivsk, Korenok, Ryzhivka, Tovstodubove, Ulanove, Volfyne, Budky, Shpyl, Rohizne, Kucherivka, Bezsalivka, Vyntorivka, Havrylova Sloboda, Starykove, Atynske, Vovkivka, Malushyne, Seredyna-Buda, and Yastrubshchyna in Sumy region; and Yanzhulivka, Bohdanove, and Kliusy in Chernihiv region. Tovstodubove was also subjected to airstrikes.
Over the past day, Ukrainian Air Force, missile forces, and artillery units struck 11 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, five artillery systems, one UAV control post, and one other important enemy target.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: eight combat engagements were recorded over the past day. At the same time, the aggressor carried out 74 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas, seven of them using multiple-launch rocket systems. The enemy also conducted one airstrike, using two guided aerial bombs.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled 11 russian attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance toward Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Starytsia, Radkivka, and Zarubynka.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupeirs conducted one offensive action toward Kurylivka.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: Attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses were repelled, russian occupiers attacked 14 times toward Lyman, Novoselivka, Dibrova, and Drobysheve, as well as near Olhivka.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy conducted 10 assault actions in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Dibrova, and Riznykivka, and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Mykolaivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces did not conduct any offensive operations.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: 19 russian attacks were recorded. The occupiers conducted assault operations in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Novoselivka, and Hruzke, and toward Vilne and Kucheriv Yar.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers launched 22 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance toward Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Vilne, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, Muravka, and Novopavlivka, as well as in the areas of Rodynske, Myrne, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novomykolaivka.
Oleksandryvskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian troops conducted four attacks in the areas of Novе Zaporizhzhia, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Oleksandrohrad, and Krasnohirskе.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian defensive positions nine times. The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Rizdvianka, Rivne, Dolynka, Hirke, Danylivka, and Lisne.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped two attempts by the enemy to advance near Novoiakivlivka.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers did not conduct any assault operations over the past day.
Volyn and Polissia Direction
08:00 AM: there were no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings.
Overall, Russian forces suffered 1,230 casualties over the past day.
