Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 259 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, Russian forces launched one missile strike using two missiles and carried out 89 airstrikes, dropping 295 guided aerial bombs (KABs). In addition, the invaders deployed 10,709 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,214 attackson populated areas and the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Enemy artillery strikes targeted the settlements of Korenok, Buniakyne, Ryzhivka, Yastrubyne, Stepanivka, Ulanove, Pustohorod, and Bezsalivka in the Sumy region. Airstrikes also hit the areas around the settlements of Sumy and Novi Vyrky in the Sumy region.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force, Missile Forces, and Artillery struck: 6 areas of enemy troop concentration, 5 artillery systems, 2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) command posts.
Operational Update as of 10:00 PM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 216 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day.
Russian forces launched one missile strike, firing 28 missiles, and carried out 52 airstrikes, dropping 199 guided aerial bombs (KABs). In addition, the enemy deployed 6,631 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,324 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy assaults over the past day. Meanwhile, Russian forces carried out two airstrikes, dropping four guided aerial bombs, and conducted 63 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including two attacks using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
10:00 PM: Since the start of the day, six combat engagements have taken place in the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kurskdirections, two of which are still ongoing. The enemy also carried out 58 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian forces repelled 23 russian attacks. Russian troops attempted to advance in the areas of Starytsia, Lyman, Izbytske, and Kozacha Lopan, as well as toward Kovalivka, Okhrimivka, Chorne, Khatnie, Mytrofanivka, and Ivashchyne.
10:00 PM: Russian forces launched eight assaults on Ukrainian positions near Starytsia, Vovchansk, and toward Khatnie. One engagement remains ongoing.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: No russian offensive operations were recorded on this direction.
10:00 PM: The enemy conducted nine offensive actions toward Kupiansk, Kindrashivka, Novoosynove, and Shyikivka. One battle is still underway.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 14 times, attacking in the areas of Lyman, Dibrova, Ozerne, and Stavky, as well as toward Cherneshchyna, Olhivka, Shyikivka, and Drobysheve.
10:00 PM: Ukrainian defenders repelled six attempts by Russian forces to advance toward Novoselivka, Lyman, and Dibrova.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: The enemy carried out 19 assaults in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka, as well as toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Pyskunivka.
10:00 PM: Ukraine’s Defense Forces successfully repelled 14 enemy assaults in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and toward Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian occupation forces launched three attacks toward Fedorivka Druha, Nykyforivka, and Markove.
10:00 PM: Russian occupation forces carried out two attacks near Nykyforivka and toward Yurkivka.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: A total of 22 russian attacks were recorded. Russian forces conducted assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka,and Ivanopillia, and advanced toward Novoselivka and Novopavlivka.
10:00 PM: Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 22 russian assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Toretske, and Sofiivka, as well as toward Novopavlivka and Nove Shakhove. Three engagements are still ongoing.
Pokrovsk direction
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: The heaviest fighting occurred on this front direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 27 russian assaults. Russian troops were active in the areas of Rodynske and Kotlyne, while also attacking toward Novooleksandrivka, Toretske, Shakhove, Sofiivka, Chernihivka, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, Udachne, and Novopidhorodne.
10:00 PM: Russian forces launched 22 attacks, attempting to advance near Dorozhne, Kotlyne, and Udachne, and toward Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, and Serhiivka. Two battles remain underway. According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian forces have inflicted the following losses on Russian troops in this sector today:
- 43 Russian soldiers killed;
- 3 wounded;
- 3 artillery systems destroyed;
- 1 piece of special military equipment destroyed;
- 4 personnel shelters destroyed;
- 1 artillery system damaged;
- 36 personnel shelters damaged;
- 300 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of various types destroyed or suppressed.
Oleksandrivka Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched three russian attacks toward the settlements of Novoheorhiivka, Rybne, and Piddubne.
10:00 PM: No russian offensive operations were recorded.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: The occupiers carried out 16 attacks, attempting to advance in the areas of Huliaipilske, Zaliznychne, and Hirke, as well as toward Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Rizdvianka, Rivne, Staroukrainka, Charivne, and Yehorivka.
10:00 PM: Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 10 Russian attacks toward Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Hirke, and Staroukrainka, as well as in the areas of Danylivka, Charivne, and Novoselivka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled three russian attempts to advance toward Bilohiria, Pavlivka, and Plavni.
10:00 PM: Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attempts to advance toward Mala Tokmachka and Pavlivka.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: No enemy assault operations were recorded over the past day.
10:00 PM: Russian forces conducted no offensive operations on this axis.
Volyn and Polissia Direction
08:00 AM and 10:00 PM: No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Over the past day, Russian forces lost:
