Today is the 1,627th day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian authorities recorded 223 combat engagements across the front.

Russian forces launched one missile strike involving two missiles and carried out 77 airstrikes, dropping 242 guided aerial bombs. The Russian military also used 10,837 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,327 shelling attacks against Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

In Ukraine’s Sumy region, Russian artillery struck the settlements of Korenok, Bezsalivka, Tovstodubove, Sopych, Yastrubshchyna, Luzhky and Studenok. Russian aircraft also targeted areas around Kucherivka, Tovstodubove and the city of Sumy.

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery struck 15 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated and three command posts for unmanned aerial vehicles.

Fighting intensifies across eastern Ukraine.

Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction

08:00 AM: Ukrainian forces repelled five Russian assaults. Russian forces carried out 52 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including two using multiple-launch rocket systems.

Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction

08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled 12 attacks. Russian troops attempted to advance near Vovchansk and Lyman and toward Radkivka, Hoptivka, Zapadne and Petro-Ivanivka.

Kupiansk Direction

08:00 AM: Russian forces launched two attacks toward Novoplatonivka.

Lyman Direction

08:00 AM: Ukrainian troops repelled seven Russian attempts to penetrate their defenses. Fighting was reported near Lyman and Dibrova and toward Tverdokhlibove and Novoselivka.

Sloviansk Direction

08:00 AM: 15 Russian assault attempts near Zakitne, Kryva Luka and Riznykivka, as well as toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Pyskunivka and Kalenyky.

Kramatorsk Direction

08:00 AM: Russian forces launched one attack toward Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

Kostyantinivka Direction

08:00 AM: this front direction remained one of the most active areas, with 22 Russian attacks recorded. Ukrainian forces stopped Russian assaults near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka and Ivanopillia, as well as toward Rusyn Yar, Novoselivka, Toretske and Mykolaipillia.

Pokrovsk Direction

08:00 AM: recorded the highest number of Russian assault attempts, with Ukrainian forces reporting 30 attacks.

Russian troops were active near Bilytske, Rodynske, Serhiivka and Kotlyne, while assaults were also directed toward Toretske, Dorozhnie, Hannivka, Shevchenko, Novohryshyne, Myrne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, Novopavlivka and Mykolaivka.

Huliaipole Direction

08:00 AM: Russian forces launched eight attacks toward Vozdvyzhivka, Rivne, Staroukrainka and Charivne.

Orikhiv Direction

08:00 AM: Ukrainian forces stopped three attempts by Russian troops to advance toward Lukianivske and Pavlivka.

Oleksandrivka Direction

08:00 AM: No Russian offensive operations were recorded on the Dnipropetrovsk. Ukrainian authorities also reported no signs of Russian forces forming offensive groupings on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

According to Ukraine’s military, Russian forces suffered 1,190 personnel casualties over the previous 24 hours.

Ukrainian forces also reported destroying or disabling: 4 tanks, 1 armored combat vehicle, 58 artillery systems, 1 multiple-launch rocket system, 6 air-defense systems, 10 ground robotic systems, 1,751 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1 Russian boat, 349 vehicles, 2 units of special equipment.

Ukrainian forces say they continue to resist Russian attacks across the front while systematically targeting Russian personnel, equipment and command infrastructure.
