Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
The Defense Forces continue to repel attempts by the occupiers to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy across various sectors of the front.
A total of 276 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
The enemy carried out 86 airstrikes, including the dropping of 264 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders deployed 8,557 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,114 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops, including 55 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
The aggressor launched airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of Luzhky, Pustohorod, and Vilna Sloboda in Sumy Oblast.
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck three command posts and four enemy troop concentration areas.
Update as of 04:00 PM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
The Russian occupation forces have launched 62 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian defenders since the beginning of the day, while Russian artillery continues its relentless shelling of Ukraine’s border regions.
Today, in Sumy Oblast, the areas of Vilna Sloboda, Chervonyi Pakhar, Korenok, and Viktorove came under enemy airstrikes.

Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: eight combat engagements took place over the past day. The enemy carried out 80 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, including four attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.
04:00 PM: two combat engagements have taken place, with one battle still ongoing. The russian occupiers also shelled Ukrainian positions and civilian villages 50 times, including eight attacks using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy launched 12 assaults on the positions of our units in the areas of Lyman, Veterynarne, Kolodiazne, Synelnykove, and Starytsia.
04:00 PM: the russian invaders made four attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Veterynarne, Starytsia, and Prylipka. One engagement is still underway.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled three russian attacks in the areas of Shyikivka and Kupiansk.
04:00 PM: the russian occupiers launched one attack, attempting to push Ukrainian units from their positions near Kurylivka.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian soldiers repelled 11 attempts by the russian invaders to advance near Kopanky, Novomykolaivka, Dibrova, Stavky, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Ozerne.
04:00 PM: russian forces carrying out four assaults near Kopanky, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Yampil.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped six attempts by the occupiers to advance in the areas of Kryva Luka, Kalenyky, Nykyforivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
04:00 PM: Ukrainian troops successfully repelled two russian attempts to advance toward Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped one russian attack near the settlement of Tykhonivka.
04:00 PM: the russian occupiers conducted no offensive operations.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: Russian troops carried out 14 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Mykolaivka, Pleshchiivka, and Stepanivka.
04:00 PM: Russian units carried out seven attacks, attempting to advance near Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Kucheriv Yar and Nove Shakhove.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped 49 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of Vilne, Dorozhne, Bilytske, Rodynske, Oleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Shevchenko, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, Kotlyne, and Udachne.
04:00 PM: remains one of the most intense sectors of the front. There, the Russians launched 25 attacks, attempting to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Dorozhne, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, and Horikhove, as well as toward the settlements of Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Bilytske, and Serhiivka. Two combat engagements are still in progress.
Oleksandrivka Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy attacked twice in the areas of the settlements of Tovste and Verbove.
04:00 PM: Ukrainian defenders repelled one russian attack near the settlement of Verbove.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: 43 attacks by the occupiers were recorded in the areas of Zaliznychne, Vozdvyzhivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Verkhnia Tersa, Rybne, Tsvitkove, Novoselivka, and Varvarivka.
04:00 PM: Ukrainian forces repelled 11 russian attacks in the areas of Rybne, Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, and Charivne, as well as toward Kosivtseve, Rizvdyanka, and Tsvitkove. Two combat engagements remain ongoing.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers made 10 attempts to break through the defense near Shcherbaky, Bilohiria, Nesteryanka, and Stepnohirsk.
04:00 PM: the russian occupiers conducted no offensive operations.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units stopped one russian attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.
04:00 PM: the russian occupiers made two unsuccessful attempts to advance near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
Volyn and Polissia Directions
08:00 AM and 04:00 PM: no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Overall, over the past day, Russian occupation forces lost 1,410 personnel. In addition, the Defense Forces destroyed or neutralized four tanks, two armored combat vehicles, 50 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, nine ground robotic systems, 1,852 unmanned aerial vehicles, 384 vehicles, and five pieces of specialized equipment.
