A Russian airstrike struck the central part of Sloviansk on March 30, damaging a maternity hospital and injuring a civilian, local authorities reported.
At approximately 11:50 a.m., Russian forces launched an attack on the city, likely using guided aerial bombs.
The head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration, Vadym Liakh, reported about this breaking incident on Facebook.

“Today at 11:50, the enemy carried out an airstrike on our city. Guided aerial bombs hit the central part of Sloviansk. An educational institution and a shop were destroyed. Private homes, apartment buildings, and government institutions were damaged,” the statement said.
Among the damaged buildings is the only maternity hospital in the Donetsk region, Liakh added.
Despite the severity of the strike, no patients or medical staff were injured at the facility.
“Fortunately, no newborns, mothers, or medical personnel were harmed,” he emphasized.
However, a 42-year-old man was injured in the attack and is currently receiving medical assistance.
Emergency services are working at the scene, assessing the damage and providing aid.
The strike caused significant destruction to civilian infrastructure in the city center, highlighting the continued threat posed to populated areas amid ongoing hostilities.
