Russian forces are intensifying pressure around Kostiantynivka, Chasiv Yar and Lyman, seeking to advance toward Sloviansk and Kramatorsk while Ukrainian defenders struggle to hold key positions.

Occupiers intensify pressure on these cities. This was reported by ZN.ua.

Russian forces are attempting to seize Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region and are now actively infiltrating the city, hiding in basements and high-rise buildings. The Russians began expanding their “zone of control” around the city after occupying Illinivka. Infantry groups are currently advancing westward in an effort to expand the so-called “pocket” around Kostiantynivka, DeepState analysts reported.

At the same time, OSINT analysts say neighboring Chasiv Yar is now in the greatest danger, as Russian forces are encircling it from the flanks.

“Positions are being held in the city itself, but if the flanks fall, particularly in the area mentioned above, the situation for the Ukrainian forces in Chasiv Yar will become extremely difficult,” the statement said.

The occupiers are also putting pressure in the direction of the cities of Raihorodok and Mykolaivka, with the aim of eventually launching an offensive on Sloviansk itself. Russian forces have already begun infiltrating Mykolaivka. Analysts describe this as a “warning sign” and an indication that the enemy is “probing for weak spots.” Ukrainian defenders are detecting and destroying Russian forces in the settlement.

The occupiers have infiltrated Kryva Luka and are seeking to establish positions in Orikhuvatka and Rai-Oleksandrivka. Russian forces have already entered the latter, but Ukrainian troops eliminated them. The Defense Forces control Rai-Oleksandrivka and are preventing Russian forces from establishing positions there, although this is becoming increasingly difficult due to a shortage of personnel.

Recently, more than 100 Russian troops infiltrated Kostiantynivka. The military stresses that the Russians’ entry into the city does not mean that they control it. The occupiers are now attempting to put pressure on Kostiantynivka simultaneously from both flanks.

Russian forces near Lyman are attempting to advance actively in order to eventually create conditions for the partial encirclement of the Sloviansk–Kramatorsk urban agglomeration.
