The Ukrainian defence-tech company General Chereshnya and one of Europe’s largest UAV and equipment manufacturers, the Croatian company ORQA, have signed a memorandum that officially launches their cooperation.

First and foremost, the companies are beginning to develop large-scale production of components in Ukraine. As part of the Build in Ukraine program, plans include constructing an underground plant to manufacture various components and peripherals for UAVs, the Ukrainian company reported. This was reported by NV.ua.

In addition, joint serial production will be launched in Croatia, where cutting-edge technologies in the drone industry will be developed. The partnership combines ORQA’s deep technological expertise with the unique experience of the Ukrainian manufacturer.

The key goal of the cooperation is the full localization of component production in Ukraine and reducing dependence on the supply of foreign components. In addition, the companies aim to support the rearmament of NATO countries and to technologically strengthen the existing capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“I am pleased to announce that today we are beginning a new chapter in the history of our company and in Ukrainian defence tech as a whole. We are launching a major and promising partnership with a company that has decades of experience and leading expertise in the UAV industry. Our goal is shared and clear: to build a new architecture of European and global security together. Our unique Ukrainian experience, combined with ORQA’s technological expertise, is an ideal match. We are ready to change the game,” said Yaroslav Hryshyn, co-founder of General Chereshnya.

“This moment marks an important step forward for both sides and is driven by a shared desire to strengthen the future security system of all NATO member countries. Ukraine’s real combat experience, combined with ORQA’s highly advanced technical capabilities, creates a partnership with exceptional potential. By joining forces, we aim not only to participate in shaping the future of security but also to actively transform it,” commented Srdjan Kovacevic, co-founder and CEO of ORQA, on the agreement.

Work on establishing joint production facilities has already begun. The first products from the General Chereshnya/ORQA production are expected in the near future.

It was previously reported that General Chereshnya established a joint venture in the United States with the Wilcox Corporation.

ORQA is one of the largest manufacturers of UAVs and components in Europe, operating in more than 50 countries worldwide, including 24 NATO member states. The company produces its equipment entirely without Chinese components.

General Chereshnya is one of the largest manufacturers of various types of UAVs in Ukraine.
