Ukraine Unveils AI FPV Drone That Hits Without Signal

Ukrainian Armor and Fourth Law unveil UB60D FPV drone with autonomous targeting, boosting strike accuracy, resisting electronic warfare, and enabling scalable deployment across Ukraine’s Defense Forces units.

Ukrainian Armor, in partnership with Fourth Law, have codified the 8-inch UB60D FPV drone equipped with the TFL-1 autonomous targeting system, which increases strike effectiveness by 2–4 times. According to Oboronka, the companies announced this on social media.

“The latest unmanned system has successfully passed testing, confirming its effectiveness in challenging electronic warfare conditions. Receiving an NSN code makes it possible to begin large-scale deliveries of the UB60D to units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” the statement said.

The company explains that the drone is built on an 8-inch platform with a warhead — a 60 mm fragmentation mortar round. Its design integrates the warhead with the control system into a single unit, eliminating the need for additional pre-arming.

The TFL-1 autonomous targeting system, developed by Fourth Law, enables the drone to automatically acquire and track a target.

“This ensures precise strikes even in the event of a complete loss of communication with the operator at the final stage of the attack,” the statement said.

In the near future, the UB60D equipped with the TFL-1 system is planned to be added to the DOT-Chain catalog, as well as presented on the Brave1 Market platform with the option of procurement through the e-Baly program.

The companies note that the project is the result of combining expertise in computer vision, artificial intelligence, and weapons manufacturing, enabling the scaling of intelligent strike systems.

“UB60D with autonomous targeting significantly increases the probability of hitting a target even under active countermeasures. Our task as a manufacturer is to provide the Defense Forces with solutions that genuinely enhance combat effectiveness and can be rapidly scaled to meet frontline needs,” said Vladyslav Belbas, CEO of LLC Ukrainian Armor.

At the same time, CEO of Fourth Law Yaroslav Azhniuk noted that autonomous FPV drones are becoming a real alternative to fiber-optic-based solutions.

“Amid the current crisis in fiber-optic supply, more and more manufacturers and units are shifting to autonomous solutions, as they are cheaper, can operate at longer distances, and are far less dependent on scarce components,” he said.

Earlier, Ukrainian Armor presented three new strike drones to units of the Defense Forces, all of which demonstrated effectiveness during testing. Among them was the UB60D drone with a targeting module. During the demonstration, the drones carried out both airburst and contact detonations against metal shields with full-size targets.
