Ukrainian drone manufacturer “Vluchnyk” has unveiled a new interceptor called “Palka.” It operates similarly to Russia’s “Yolka” drone: it is launched by hand using a special launcher.

Defender learned about the development from representatives of “Vluchnyk” at the IRON HALLOWEEN PARTY 2026 event.

The company plans to complete development and begin combat testing in December. The new interceptor is expected to reach speeds of 280–320 km/h. It has an interception range of up to 5 km and will carry a 400-gram warhead.

The company is developing the drone launcher itself. According to the planned operating procedure, the operator locates a target using the launcher’s monitor. The target is then acquired and locked on, after which the operator confirms the launch and the drone autonomously strikes the object.

The estimated price of the interceptor is UAH 30,000–40,000, while the launcher will cost UAH 5,000–10,000. The first versions of the interceptor will be single-use, but the manufacturer plans to introduce reusable options in the future.

Several months ago, “Vluchnyk” unveiled another interceptor drone, the “Zorelit v5”. It is designed to intercept jet-powered “Geran-3” and “Geran-4” drones. The interceptor has a maximum speed of 416 km/h and carries a 400-gram warhead.
