Today is the 1,572st day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 229 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
According to updated information, yesterday the enemy carried out 127 air strikes, dropping 391 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces launched 9,192 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,001 attacks on populated areas and the positions of Ukrainian troops, including 112 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Russian air strikes targeted, among other locations, the settlements of Pavlivka, Pustohorod, Luzhky, and Brusky in Sumy Oblast.
Over the past day, the Air Force, missile forces, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 12 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, two artillery systems, and one UAV command post.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: two combat engagements took place during the past day. The aggressor launched three air strikes using nine guided aerial bombs and carried out 82 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including six attacks with MLRS.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian positions seven times in the areas of Vovchansk, Izbytske, Zybine, and toward Lyman.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled one russian attempt to advance toward the settlement of Novoplatonivka.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: russian troops attempted 17 times to break through Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Novyi Myr, Drobysheve, Lyman, Dibrova, Torske, Ozerne, and toward Shyikivka, Novoiehorivka, and Nadiia.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched 14 assaults in the area of Zakitne and toward the settlements of Mykolaivka, Kryva Luka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian troops conducted no offensive operations.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces carried out 14 attacks near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, and Illinivka.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled 39 russian assault actions in the areas of Vasylivka, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Novopidhorodne, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novopavlivka, as well as toward the settlements of Bilytske, Dorozhne, Hannivka, Nove Shakhove, Kucheriv Yar, and Serhiivka.
Oleksandrivka Direction

Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched 32 attacks in the areas of Rybne, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipilske, Ternuvate, Zaliznychne, Verkhnia Tersa, and Charivne, and toward Hirke, Dobropillia, and Vozdvyzhivka.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped three russian attempts to advance in the areas of Stepove and Stepnohirsk, and toward Prymorsk.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled one enemy attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.
Volyn and Polissia Directions
08:00 AM: no signs of the formation of russian offensive groupings were detected.
Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of enemy forces and maintain effective resistance across all sections of the front.
Overall, Russian losses during the past day amounted to 1,440 personnel. Ukrainian forces also destroyed or neutralized:
