Today is the 1,566th day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 240 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
During the previous day, the enemy carried out 86 airstrikes, dropping 265 guided aerial bombs (KABs). In addition, Russian forces launched 9,184 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,296 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 38 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
The aggressor also carried out airstrikes in the areas of Fotovyzh, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Vilna Sloboda, Sukhodil, Ulanove, Lisne, Partyzanske, Stukalivka, and Holyshivske in Sumy Oblast.
Over the past day, the Air Force, Missile Forces, and Artillery of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck two areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, three enemy UAV command posts, and two artillery systems.

Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have launched 60 attacks against Ukrainian Defense Forces positions.
Russian artillery continues to shell border regions. Today, in Sumy Oblast, the settlements of Ryzhivka, Korenok, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Buniakyne, Prohres, Malushyne, Ulanove, Volfyne, Neskuchne, Sopych, and Yastrubshchyna came under enemy fire. In Chernihiv Oblast, the settlements of Kostobobriv, Senkivka, Hremiach, and Kliusy were affected by shelling.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: one combat engagement took place during the past day. The russian occupiers conducted four airstrikes using nine guided aerial bombs and carried out 94 attacks on Ukrainian positions and nearby settlements, including 17 strikes using MLRS.
04:00 PM: one combat engagement took place. The russian occupiers carried out 23 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including one strike using a multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS).
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Starytsia, Lyman, Vovchanski Khutory, and toward Okhrimivka and Dvorichanske.
04:00 PM: Russian forces attempted five assaults to break through Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Vovchanski Khutory, Lyman, Starytsia, and toward Volokhivka.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled one russian forces attempt to advance toward the settlement of Hlushkivka.
04:00 PM: The russian occupiers launched one attack toward the settlement of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: Russian troops attempted 17 times to penetrate Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, Dibrova, and toward Shyikivka and Lyman.
04:00 PM: Ukrainian troops repelled nine attempts by Russian forces to advance in the area of Novoselivka and toward Drobysheve, Dibrova, and Lyman. Five combat engagements are currently ongoing.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers launched 12 assaults near Zakitne, Riznykivka, and toward the settlements of Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
04:00 PM: The Defense Forces successfully stopped nine russian forces attempts to advance toward Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka, as well as in the areas of Riznykivka, Zakitne, and Lypivka. One engagement remains ongoing.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM:Russian forces made two unsuccessful attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Nykyforivka and toward Tykhonivka.
04:00 PM: no offensive actions by Russian forces were recorded.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers carried out 17 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Rusyniv Yar, Illinivka, and toward Mykolaypillia.
04:00 PM: Ukrainian defenders repelled four russian attacks near the settlements of Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, and Illinivka.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled 30 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, and toward Novyi Donbas, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Bilytske, Dobropillia, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka.
04:00 PM: since the beginning of the day, russian troops have made 28 attempts to push Ukrainian forces from their positions in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, and Kotlyne, and toward the settlements of Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne, and Dorozhne. Three combat engagements are still underway.
Oleksandrivka Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces attacked five times in the area of Ternove, Vorone, and toward Dobropillia.
04:00 PM: The russian troops made one attempt to advance near the settlement of Sichneve.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers carried out 38 attacks near the settlements of Rybne, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, and toward Novoselivka, Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka, Huliaipilske, and Charivne.
04:00 PM: the Defense Forces successfully repelled 22 russian attacks in the area of Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, and toward Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Tsvitkove, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, and Charivne. One combat engagement continues.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers launched one assault on Ukrainian defensive positions near the settlement of Stepove.
04:00 PM: russian forces conducted two assaults against Ukrainian defensive positions near the settlements of Shcherbaky and Plavni.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one offensive action toward Antonivka.
04:00 PM: the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.
Volyn and Polissia Directions
08:00 AM and 04:00 PM: no signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected.
Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of enemy forces and maintain effective resistance across all sectors of the front.
Overall, Russian losses over the past day amounted to 1,330 personnel.
In addition, Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed:
- 8 tanks;
- 5 armored combat vehicles;
- 85 artillery systems;
- 3 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS);
- 2 air defense systems;
- 12 ground robotic systems;
- 2,161 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs);
- 363 vehicles and fuel tankers;
- 2 units of special equipment.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to inflict significant losses on Russian occupation forces while defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
