Today is the 1497st day of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.
The Defense Forces continue to repel attempts by the occupiers to improve their positions and advance deeper into Ukrainian territory, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in personnel and equipment across various sections of the front.
Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
Over the past 24 hours, a total of 140 combat engagements were recorded.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 85 airstrikes, dropping 266 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 9,132 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,964 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, including 77 using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular affecting the following settlements: Sumy region – Hlukhiv, Volfyne, Yastrubshchyna, Lisne, Vilna Sloboda; Dnipropetrovsk region – Havrylivka, Lisne, Levadne, Pokrovske; Zaporizhzhia region – Vozdvyzhivka, Novoselivka, Shyroke, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two areas of enemy personnel concentration and one UAV control point.

Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: one combat engagement took place over the past day. The enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropping four guided bombs, and conducted 117 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including three using MLRS.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the enemy three times attempted to break through defensive lines near the settlements of Starytsia and Vovchansk, as well as toward Khatnie.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian forces attacked 11 times toward Novoosynove, Kurylivka, Borivska Andriivka, Pishchane, and Kupiansk.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers attacked four times, attempting to break into Ukrainian defenses near Drobyshcheve and Novoiehorivka.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled four russian attempts to advance near Rai-Oleksandrivka and Zakytne.

Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of the enemy and provide effective resistance along all sections of the front.
In total, over the past day, Russian losses amounted to 970 personnel. The enemy also lost two tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, 61 artillery systems, one MLRS, one air defense system, 2,296 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 199 vehicles.
