The 1,498th day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.
The Defense Forces are repelling attempts by the occupiers to improve their positions and advance deeper into Ukraine’s territory, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy.
Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
In total, 171 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 77 airstrikes, dropping 226 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 9,636 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,804 shelling attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops, including 106 using multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor launched airstrikes, in particular, in the areas of the following settlements:
- In Donetsk region: Oleksandrivka
- In Dnipropetrovsk region: Havrylivka, Pokrovske
- In Zaporizhzhia region: Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Yehorivka, Dolynka, Kopani, Krynivka, Nove Pole, Mykilske, Veselianka, Novooleinivka, Hryhorivka
Over the past day, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck six areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated.
Update as of 10:00 PM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
Since the beginning of this day, a total of 132 combat engagements have taken place.
The Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy, eliminate personnel, and exhaust the combat potential of the occupiers, delivering systematic fire strikes.
The enemy carried out 36 airstrikes, dropping 130 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 5,933 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,783 shelling attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops.

Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy carried out 94 shelling attacks on our troops’ positions and populated areas, including three using MLRS. One combat engagement was recorded.
10:00 PM: two combat engagements took place today. The russian occupiers launched two airstrikes, dropping eight guided bombs, and carried out 73 shelling attacks on our troops’ positions and populated areas, including three using multiple launch rocket systems.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers attempted three times to break through defensive lines in the areas of Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, and toward Okhrimivka.
10:00 PM: the enemy twice assaulted positions of our units near the settlements of Starytsia and Krasne Pershe.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian troops attacked twice near Nova Kruhliakivka and Novoosynove.
10:00 PM: Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled nine russian assaults near the settlements of Kurylivka, Pishchane, Kivsharivka, Novoplatonivka, and Novoosynove. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers launched six attacks, trying to penetrate our defenses toward Drobysheve, Lyman, and near the settlements of Serednie and Nadiia.
10:00 PM: the russian troops attempted six times to advance toward the settlement of Lyman. One combat engagement is ongoing. The Defense Forces are holding their positions in Luhansk region.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped six attempts by the russian occupiers to advance near Zakytne, Riznykivka, and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Platonivka, and Kalenyky.
10:00 PM: Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy assaults near Rai-Oleksandrivka, Riznykivka, and Yampil; another combat engagement is still ongoing.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: the Russians once attempted to improve its position by assaulting toward Kostiantynivka.
10:00 PM: the enemy conducted no attacks.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy carried out 20 attacks near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, and toward Illinivka, Sofiivka, Mykolaipillia, Novopavlivka, Vilne, and Kostiantynivka.
10:00 PM: sixteen russian assaults in the Kostiantynivka direction, near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Stepanivka, Yablunivka, and Sofiivka.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped 56 assault actions by the aggressor near the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Nove Shakhove, Muravka, Horikhove, and toward Hryshyne, Filiia, and Novooleksandrivka.
10:00 PM: the russian troops carried out 28 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance near the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Novomykolaivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Hryshyne, and Filiia. Four combat engagements are still ongoing. According to preliminary estimates, today in this direction 90 occupiers have been eliminated and 50 wounded; two vehicles and seven units of special equipment were destroyed, and one vehicle was damaged. A total of 124 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
Oleksandrivka Direction
08:00 AM: the Russians attacked seven times near Oleksandrohrad, Zelenyi Hai, Novomykolaivka, and toward Pryvillia and Nove Zaporizhzhia.
10:00 PM: the russian occupiers attempted five times to improve their positions, attacking near Oleksandrohrad, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Berezove, and Novohryhorivka. One combat engagement is currently ongoing.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: 17 russian attacks took place near Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Myrne, and toward Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Huliaipilske, and Tsvitkove.
10:00 PM: 18 enemy attacks took place near Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Tsvitkove, Hirke, Sviatopetrivka, Olenokostiantynivka, and Myrne. The enemy carried out airstrikes near Vozdvyzhenske, Verkhna Tersa, and Huliaipilske. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: no attempts by the enemy to improve its position were observed.
10:00 PM: the russian occupiers launched once airstrike on the areas of Mykilske and Tavriiske.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
10:00 PM: the enemy conducted two unsuccessful assault actions toward the Antonivskyi Bridge and near Bilogrudyi Island.
Volyn and Polissia Directions
08:00 AM and 10:00 PM: no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of the enemy and provide effective resistance across all sectors of the front.
Overall, over the past day, Russian occupying forces lost 1,060 personnel. The enemy also lost: 2 units of special equipment, 2 tanks, 3 armored combat vehicles, 59 artillery systems, 3 multiple launch rocket systems, 2,069 unmanned aerial vehicles, 219 vehicles.
