Stockholm Rally Marks 1,495 Days of War in Ukraine

Crowds gather in Stockholm marking 1,495 days of war, sending a clear message of support for Ukraine and gratitude to Sweden.

In the capital of Sweden, another Sunday demonstration took place in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. Participants marked the 1,495th day of Russia’s full-scale invasion and expressed gratitude to Sweden for its unwavering support.

This was informed by the public organization Nordic Ukraine Forum, according to Ukrinform.

The rally was joined by well-known Swedish politicians, experts, and members of the Ukrainian community. Among those who spoke in support were Mattias Svensson, a political commentator for the influential publication SvD; Erik Adamson, a board member of Nordic Ukraine Forum; Umair Zia Bhatti, a local politician from the Moderate Party; and representatives of the Ukrainian Sunday School.

The organizers emphasized that Ukraine’s fight is a shared cause for the entire democratic world, and that faith in victory remains unwavering.

“We continue our shared fight. We thank Sweden for its strong support. We believe that Ukraine will win – and with it, the entire democratic world will win,” the activists said in a statement.

Due to the celebration of Easter next Sunday, the organizers announced a break in the rallies. The next large-scale demonstration is scheduled for April 12.

Please note the change of location: the next gathering will take place at Gustav Adolfs Torg, located between the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Royal Opera.

As a reminder, in the capital of Norway, members of the Ukrainian community and activists held a demonstration in support of Ukraine near the Norwegian Parliament building.
