On the morning of August 19, Russian forces launched a drone attack on civilian transport in Kherson. Four people were killed, and at least five others were injured.
This was reported by Golovne.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the strike on the minibus a continuation of Russia’s brutal “safari” against Kherson residents and urged partners to increase pressure on the aggressor.

At around 8:50 a.m., a Russian FPV drone attacked a minibus in Kherson’s Korabelnyi district. The passengers were traveling to work, the market, and the hospital.
Four passengers were killed in the attack: a 69-year-old man and three women aged 63, 71, and 89. The oldest victim was just one month short of her 90th birthday.
Five more people — four female passengers and the 58-year-old driver — sustained injuries of varying severity.
Despite his injuries and the damage to the bus, the driver drove the wounded to the hospital himself so they could receive medical attention as quickly as possible.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the Russian drone operator could not have failed to see that he was attacking civilian public transport. Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, stressed that the strike took place during rush hour.
“While our partners are hesitating over additional supplies of means of protection, the Russians crossed the line of impunity long ago. Pressure on the aggressor is needed. Support for those defending lives is needed,” Zelenskyy said.
