On the night of August 20, operators of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense carried out long-range strikes on key Russian military facilities.

According to zaxid.net, the military intelligence press service reported this.

As part of the operation, HUR units from the Department of Active Operations and the Unmanned Systems Department struck Russian drone storage and launch sites at two airfields — in occupied Donetsk and Primorsk-Akhtarsk in Russia.

“From these locations, the aggressor state had been constantly carrying out terrorist launches of attack drones against civilian targets in Ukraine. As a result of the strikes on the airfields, ground-based components of the systems and UAV launchers were damaged, and fires broke out at the impact sites,” the statement said.

In addition, in Primorsk-Akhtarsk, operators of the Department of Active Operations tracked down and struck two high-value enemy radar systems in the vicinity of the airfield — the 55Zh6U Nebo-U and 55Zh6UM Niobiy.

Also overnight, Ukraine’s Defense Forces and HUR operatives struck the Tamanneftegaz maritime terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. The tank farm and sections of the main pipelines were damaged. The attack sparked a large-scale fire at the facility.

It was previously reported that on August 18, Russian authorities claimed that more than 600 drones had attacked Moscow and the Moscow region. A logistics warehouse belonging to Russian online marketplace Wildberries was also targeted. Several buildings were damaged as a result of Russian air defense operations.
