Over the years, the exhibition has achieved worldwide success: it has been held in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Las Vegas, Dubai, and Berlin, attracting millions of visitors. Despite Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the creators accepted the invitation to present the exhibits in Kyiv for the first time.

Visitors will be able to step inside Van Gogh’s artistic world — surrounded by images that come to life through large-scale projections and music. Using Digital Art 360 technology, the images fill the entire space — walls and floor — creating a truly immersive installation of over 2,000 sq.m. Here, visitors can experience being inside “Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and other iconic works by the artist.

For an even deeper exploration of Van Gogh’s art, visitors can immerse themselves in his works through VR glasses, animation, and an audio guide recorded together with TV host Oleksiy Sukhanov. They can also visit a recreated version of the artist’s bedroom, physically set up within the exhibition. This is where Van Gogh lived while creating “Sunflowers,” “The Yellow House,” “The Night Café Terrace,” and other masterpieces. The entire visual part of the exhibition will be complemented by carefully selected music and the narrator’s voice.

Alongside the immersive section, a classical exhibition format will also be presented. One hall will showcase a chronological timeline of the artist’s life with key events, while another will feature a gallery of dozens of paintings, including a large self-portrait of Van Gogh (1889) measuring 200 × 200 cm. These are life-sized, 1:1 copies made by contemporary artists as close to the originals as possible. Through Vincent’s letters to his brother Theo, visitors will also learn about the artist’s views on the world and himself.

During his lifetime, Vincent van Gogh created over 2,000 works, but he gained worldwide fame only after his death. Today, his paintings are kept in renowned museums and private collections around the world and are among the most expensive works of art — for example, A Wheatfield with Cypresses, which sold for a record $117 million.

Despite a life full of challenges and tragic events, Van Gogh was distinguished by a unique emotional perception of the world, reflected not only in his paintings but also in his drawings and letters.

According to Ukrinform, the exhibition “Ukrainian Wooden Wonders” was presented in Melbourne, Australia, introducing local residents to the traditional art of wood carving.
