Ukraine has returned seven more children from the occupied Kherson region, bringing the total to 124 this year under the Bring Kids Back UA initiative with Save Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the year, 124 children have been returned from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
Another group of children has been brought back to Ukrainian-controlled territory from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region. According to Korrespondent, Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced this on Wednesday, August 5.
“Another seven children have been returned from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region to Ukrainian-controlled territory. They include four girls and three boys aged between 10 and 17,” Prokudin said.
The children are now safe.
They are undergoing reintegration at the Hope and Recovery centers, where they receive psychological support, assistance with restoring documents, safe shelter, and care.
“For these boys and girls, the occupation is now behind them. At the same time, hundreds of Ukrainian children are still facing Russian terror every day. The occupation authorities continue to exert pressure in an attempt to erase their Ukrainian identity,” the head of the regional administration stressed.
He also noted that, since the beginning of the year, 124 children have been returned from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
The latest return was carried out as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative with the support of the charity Save Ukraine.
Earlier, another six children were returned from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
