A Russian airstrike struck the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk on March 29, killing at least three civilians and injuring 12 others, as the toll of deaths continued to rise throughout the day.

The head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko, confirmed that the number of injured had increased to 12.

“The number of people wounded as a result of today’s shelling of Kramatorsk has risen to 12. Some are in serious condition,” he said in a statement shared on Facebook.

All victims are currently receiving medical treatment in local hospitals, where emergency teams continue to work under pressure following the attack.

Earlier reports had indicated seven injured and three killed, but the number of casualties grew as rescuers continued to assess the aftermath and more victims sought medical assistance.

The strike took place during daytime hours, increasing the likelihood of civilian presence in the targeted area. Authorities have not reported any military targets at the site, underscoring concerns about continued attacks on civilian infrastructure.

Kramatorsk, a key city in eastern Ukraine, has repeatedly come under fire throughout the war, often facing missile and aerial attacks that result in civilian casualties.

This latest incident comes amid a broader wave of Russian attacks across Ukraine.

On March 28, Russian forces targeted the Mykolaiv region using Shahed-type drones and FPV drones, focusing on civilian infrastructure and recreational areas. In one such attack, eight teenagers were injured.

In the Voznesensk district, Russian Shahed drones damaged an educational institution, shattering windows, and also struck a power line, disrupting local infrastructure.

These incidents reflect a continued pattern of drone and aerial attacks targeting areas far from active front lines, placing civilians at ongoing risk.

Emergency services, medical teams, and local authorities remain engaged in response efforts, working to assist victims and stabilize the situation in affected regions.

Officials continue to urge residents to heed air raid warnings, as the threat of further strikes remains high.
