Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 23, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.





(1) Russian hybrid forces increased number of attacks to 18 in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours and shelled upon Ukrainian troops posirions 8 times on Luhansk direction, 6 times on Donetsk direction and 4 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers fired from grenade launchers of differnet calibers upon Ukrainian troops positions in Stanytsya Luhanska and its suburbs, Zhovte, Krymske, Novotoshkivka and Novozvanivka;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian enemy opened fire from mortars at Verkhnyotoretske and released 25 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions; in addition, 2 Russian mortar shellings took place in Avdiivka; Butovka mine came under Russian grenade launchers attack; the enemy also fired with APCs upon Ukrainian troops in Luhanske;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian occupiers used small arms during attacks in Shyrokino; the enemy fulfilled mortar shellings in Krasnogorivka and released 25 mines; another Russian armed porovocation with the use of grenade launchers fire reported in Talakivka;
(5) No killed in action and no wounded in action reported in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
