Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of October 4, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman onATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian hybrid forces violated ceasefire regime 22 times in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours; Ukrainian troops returned fire in 17 cases; in particular, the enemy fired 5 times on Luhansk direction, 9 times on Donetsk direction and 7 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers launched 4 attacks with grenade launchers and small arms at Ukrainian troops positions in Tryokhizbenka;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian forces fired with grenade launchers and high caliber machine guns upon Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka and Nevelske; Butivka mine, Zaytseve and Mayorsk came under Russian fire;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian proxies launched powerfull 2-hours-long attack with the use of forbidden BM-21 Grad Partizan, grenade launchers and high caliber machine guns upon Ukrainian troops positions in Shyrokino; the enemy shelled with BM-21 Grad during 2 hours and released 38 shelled upon Ukrainian positions in Talakivka; Russian proxies violated all international agreements with two times shelling of residential areas of Vodyane; in total, Russian troops released 10 mines and 58 shells upon Ukrainian positions;
(5) No lethal casualties as well as no wounded in action reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
