Budapest Memorandum
Budapest Memorandum – the Memorandum on Security Assurances in connection with Ukraine’s accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
It was signed on December 5, 1994, in Budapest, and is therefore called the Budapest Memorandum. It was signed by Prime Minister Major of the United Kingdom, President Bill Clinton of the United States, President Boris Yeltsin of Russia, and President Leonid Kuchma of Ukraine.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystayko said that on Tuesday, October 29, the process of disengagement of forces and equipment in Zolote had begun.
