Today is 1,688th day of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
In total, 224 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday the enemy carried out one missile strike and 74 air strikes, using 223 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders employed 8,997 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,499 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops, 39 of them using multiple-launch rocket systems.
Enemy fire, in particular, hit the settlements of Neskuchne, Pysarivka, Pavlivka, Korchakivka, Velyka Rybytsia, Potapivka, Korenok and Sopyh in Sumy region.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two enemy UAV command posts, one area where enemy personnel were concentrated, and three enemy artillery systems.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: one russian assault was recorded over the past day. The aggressor carried out two airstrikes using seven guided aerial bombs and conducted 161 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled 12 russian attacks. The invaders tried to advance near Hrafske, Synelnykove and Volokhivka, and toward the settlements of Ternova, Mykolaivka and Radkivka.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers twice tried to improve its positions, conducting assault operations in the areas of Kivsharivka and Novoosynove.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: Attempts to break into our defenses were repelled; the russian occupiers attacked four times in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivka, Stavky and Dibrova.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy carried out one attack toward Pyskunivka.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: 24 attacks were recorded. The invaders conducted offensive operations in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka and Vilne, and toward Kurtivka, Pavlivka and Mykolaipillia; two more engagements are ongoing.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: russian forces carried out 16 attacks on the Pokrovsk axis. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Svitle, Krasnopillia, Myrne and Molodetske, and toward Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia and Serhiivka.
Oleksandrivka Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled one russian attack toward Ternove.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: russian occupiers attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 14 times. The enemy tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zlahoda, Ternuvate, Dolynka and Hirke.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy once tried to attack toward Mahdalynivka.
Kramatorsk and Prydniprovske Directions: the occupiers conducted no assault operations.
Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of russian offensive groupings have been detected.
In total, over the past day, Russian invaders lost 1,830 personnel. Also destroyed or neutralized were three tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 47 artillery systems, two multiple-launch rocket systems, two air-defense assets, 12 ground robotic systems, 1,702 unmanned aerial vehicles, 667 vehicles, six pieces of special equipment, and one operational-tactical missile system.
