The Motherland Monument was damaged in Kyiv by a blast wave following russian missile strike

Today, during a massive missile and drone attack, the facade of the main building of the World War II Museum at the base of the Motherland Monument was damaged.

This was reported by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.

Photos published by the museum show shattered glass at the entrance area.

“Last night, the blast wave damaged the facade of the Museum’s Main Building at the foot of the ‘Motherland Monument.’ The museum continues to operate as usual. Death to the Russian occupiers!” the statement reads.

As reported by Ukrainian News, on the night of June 6, Russia carried out one of the largest aerial attacks since the start of the full-scale invasion. In total, the occupiers used 452 aerial weapons. Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed 406 of them.

In Kyiv, the Russian night-time combined attack resulted in fatalities and injuries, as well as significant destruction across six districts.
