Drones Attack Oil Refinery in Krasnodar Krai, Causing Fire

On the night of January 26, drones attacked the Russian town of Sloviansk-na-Kubani. The strike caused drone debris to fall on local facilities, igniting an oil refinery.

This was reported by Exilenova+, ASTRA, the Krasnodar Krai operational headquarters, and Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, via Telegram, according to Rubryka.

Local residents reported a series of powerful explosions starting around 01:30 Kyiv time.

Eyewitnesses said at least 5–7 explosions were heard in the town.

According to the Krasnodar Krai operational headquarters, drone fragments fell on the premises of two Sloviansk-na-Kubani facilities, causing fires and injuring one person.

The headquarters did not specify which facilities were affected. The Telegram channel Astra, citing local residents, reported a fire at the local oil refinery.

Additionally, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, confirmed that an oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai was attacked.

In addition, the operational headquarters reported that drone fragments were found in the Siverskyi and Abinskyi districts. Damage was recorded to:

  • power lines
  • school buildings
  • private homes
  • windows

No casualties have been reported.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 40 Ukrainian drones were destroyed or intercepted during the night of January 26:

  • 34 over Krasnodar Krai
  • 4 over the Azov Sea
  • 1 over Bryansk Oblast
  • 1 over Kaluga Oblast

Earlier, on the night of January 23, a strike by attack drones caused a fire at an oil depot in Penza, Russia.

On the night of January 22, Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted several Russian air defense sites and the Taman Naftogaz oil terminal.

Additionally, on the night of January 14, a series of explosions were reported in Rostov-on-Don following a drone attack, which sparked a fire at an industrial facility.
