Russian drones attacked Odesa region on January 28, 2026, targeting residential areas, a monastery, and port infrastructure. Fires were extinguished, three people injured, one hospitalized.
As a result of a Russian attack on Odesa region, a private residential building, administrative and warehouse facilities, passenger cars, as well as port infrastructure and buildings on the territory of an Orthodox monastery were damaged.
This was reported by the Odesa Regional Military Administration, according to Suspilne.
Russia struck the territory of a port in Odesa region. Logistics elements were destroyed, and hangars, a locomotive, and production buildings were damaged. The consequences of the attack are being dealt with by emergency services and port workers, Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba said.


Russia attacked Odesa and the surrounding region with drones. Residential areas and port infrastructure were targeted. The prosecutor’s office has launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.


All relevant services are working at the impact sites. Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of another Russian strike.


The State Emergency Service of Odesa region added that all fires have been extinguished. Thirty units of equipment and 106 rescuers were involved in the response.

The first air raid alert in Odesa district was declared at 23:25. Later, the Air Forces reported the movement of strike drones from the Black Sea towards Odesa and Chornomorsk. Explosions were heard in the city, and the all-clear was given at 23:56. After that, air raid alerts were announced three more times in Odesa district.
The Regional Military Administration reported that a drone hit the territory of an Orthodox monastery in Odesa, causing a fire, as well as a private residential building.
Three people were injured. A 21-year-old man was hospitalized, and two others received assistance on site.
