The winners of Eurovision 2024, Nemo, have arrived in Ukraine for the first time. The Swiss musicians recorded a video from the capital.
Nemo shared the clip from Kyiv on their personal Instagram page. This is their first visit to Ukraine, according to Show 24.
The Eurovision 2024 winners were seen walking around the streets of Kyiv, including Mykhailivska Square. Tomorrow, October 10, Nemo will perform a concert in the capital.
“We arrived in Kyiv. It’s a gloomy but beautiful day,” Nemo shared.
It should be noted that Nemo identifies as a non-binary person and asks to be referred to using the pronoun “they.”
In a comment to TSN.ua, Nemo said that their friends often travel to Kyiv, which inspired them to make the trip. The musicians want to publicly show their support for Ukrainians.
What is known about Nemo’s performance in Kyiv?
- In the summer of 2024, after winning Eurovision 2024, Nemo announced a major European tour, which included Ukraine. The Kyiv show was initially planned for March 2025.
- Later, the artists announced that they would postpone the concerts due to work on their new album.
- After some time, Nemo revealed new performance dates. The Kyiv concert has been rescheduled to October 10. The first event of the Eurovision 2024 winners in the capital will take place at Atlas club.
