The Ukrainian military-industrial complex can produce up to 10 million different drones annually, according to the Ministry of Defense

The Ukrainian military-industrial complex has the capacity to produce 10 million drones annually. These drones are significantly cheaper than their counterparts and have been combat-tested.

This statement was made by Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Oleksandr Kozenko, during his speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue security forum in Singapore, Ukrinform reports citing the Ministry of Defense.

Kozenko participated in a panel discussion titled “Innovative Defense Solutions for Future Challenges” alongside U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Army Commander Admiral Samuel Paparo, German Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Carsten Breuer, Chief of the Indian Armed Forces General Anil Chauhan, and Chief of the Joint Staff of the Brazilian Armed Forces Admiral Renato Rodrigues.

During his speech, Kozenko introduced forum participants to Ukraine’s capabilities in the military-industrial complex, particularly in drone production. He emphasized that Ukrainian drones are significantly cheaper than other counterparts and, most importantly, have been battle-tested.

“Ukraine has taken the drone industry to a new level and is developing innovative solutions in the air, on land, and in water. Currently, the Ukrainian military-industrial complex has the capacity to produce 10 million different drones per year,” Kozenko noted.

He also emphasized that, based on the experience Ukrainian drone operators gain daily, Ukraine is rewriting doctrinal approaches to using these weapons. According to him, drones account for 80% of all strikes on the battlefield.

The Deputy Minister of Defense invited international defense companies to cooperate with the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, specifically through financing production, creating joint ventures, and exchanging expertise.

As reported by Ukrinform, Philippine Defense Minister Gilberto Teodoro met with Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Oleksandr Kozenko on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue forum in Singapore and expressed his country’s interest in expanding defense ties with Ukraine.
