Russian night drone and artillery strikes hit Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions, killing one, injuring several, and causing widespread power outages and infrastructure damage.
Power outages in Sumy and Poltava regions due to Russian night strikes:
– In Kherson, a man died in Korabelny district from Russian shelling. Rescuers recovered his body; identity pending. Three women (51, 18, 69) injured.
– In Poltava, Russian drones damaged an energy facility, cutting power to 28 businesses and 1,070 households. Damaged locomotive depot, power line, and substations caused train delays. An administrative building, warehouses, and a private house were hit; fires extinguished. No casualties.
– In Sumy, Russian drones struck civilian infrastructure, damaging residences and causing partial power outages. A trolleybus was hit; driver and passenger received on-site aid.
– In Kharkiv’s Nemyshlyanskyi district, 25 Russian “Shahed” drones caused a fire at a civilian enterprise. No injuries.
– In Dnipropetrovsk, Russians attacked Nikopolskyi district with artillery and FPV drones. No injuries.
