Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of September 18, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman onATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 31 attacks against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours, including 6 times on Luhansk direction, 12 times on Donetsk direction and 13 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies shelled with hard weaponry three Ukrainian positions on Bahmut root, where the enemy released more than 20 mines and several artillery shells; another ceasefire regime violations by the Russian occupiers took place in Popasna district; the enemy used forbidden 122-mm artillery near Novotoshkivske; to this end, Russian occupiers fired with forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers upon Ukrainian positions near Krymske and Prychepivka;
(3) Donetsk direction: Avdiivka and Pisky – Nevelske front line reported as the hottest spots on that direction, but the enemy used only small arms there; Ryssian forces fired with grenade launchers of differnet systems, high caliber msachine guns and small arms in Avdiivka industrial area;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian troops attacks concentration reported on Novotroytske – Starognativka and Pavlopil – Vodyane front directions; in addition, proxies shelled with the use antiaircraft installation upon Ukrainian position near Hnutove; the enemy also fired with high caliber machine guns near Vodyane;
(5) Russian hybrid forces losses over the last week are as follows: 10 killed, 31 wounded and 1 UAV demaged;
(6) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian troops, but 1 Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
