Russian Attack Targets Critical Infrastructure in Sumy Region

On the night of Friday, October 3, the army of the aggressor country, Russia, carried out an airstrike on the Shostka city territorial community in Sumy region, leaving the city of Shostka and other settlements in the community without electricity.

This was reported by the head of the community, Mykola Noha, according to nv.ua.

According to him, the strike damaged an infrastructure facility in the Voronizh village district. Emergency power crews are working to restore service.

Sumyoblenergo clarified that due to Russian strikes on critical infrastructure, parts of Konotop district and all of Shostka district were left without power.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that over the past day, Russian forces carried out 35 shelling attacks on 19 settlements across eight territorial communities in the region, with the most attacks recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.

Later, regional administration head Oleh Hryhorov reported that an 8-year-old child and two adults were injured as a result of an enemy attack in the Andriashivka community.

Earlier on October 3, it was reported that the Russian army carried out a massive night strike with drones and missiles on energy facilities in Poltava region. Russia also targeted Dnipro and Odesa.
