What the Ministry of Health says

The Ministry of Health clarified that doctors and women with newborns were present in the Zaporizhzhia maternity hospital during the strike. Preliminary reports indicate that at the time of the attack, all medical staff and patients were in the shelter. This includes 15 medical workers and 16 women, among them three new mothers with their babies.

However, it is known that a doctor, a nurse, and a patient from a private dental clinic were injured. They are in moderate condition and have been hospitalized in city medical facilities.

As a result of the strike, the damaged hospital had broken windows, partial façade destruction, and a fire, which has since been extinguished by rescuers. Patients have been transferred to other hospital departments.

Repeated strike on Zaporizhzhia

After some time, the Russians struck the city again with drones. This time, a private house was damaged. So far, it is known that a four-year-old child and two women were injured.

An outbuilding caught fire. Rescuers extinguished the blaze. The blast wave damaged neighboring houses.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia region

Russian forces systematically shell the Zaporizhzhia region, using drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.

In particular, last night, the occupiers struck the private sector in Vilnyansk. Seven residential houses were damaged, one of them destroyed, a fire broke out on a gas pipe, and there are also casualties.

Earlier reports stated that on the night of January 21, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, damaging private homes and outbuildings.
