A Red Cross employee, a Swiss citizen was killed during the shelling in Donetsk on October 2, New York Times journalist Andrew Roth says.
“A bomb hit Red Cross HQ in the center of Donetsk, at least one person dead. One police officer said he supposedly was a Swiss employee of the organization.”

Head of the Ukraine Foreign Ministry, Pavlo Klimkin informed on his twitter: “the ICRC staff member, a Swiss citizen killed by the terrorists in Donetsk during the shelling. Each death makes it more grievous. There are no words for that. Accept my condolences. I have only one question: do the terrorists, who fired at the ICRC office in Donetsk, which has the only purpose of helping people, have any idea of humanism?”
