Ukrainian forces stopped a Russian landing on Kruhlyk Island in Kherson. Russians continue drone strikes, artillery fire, and reconnaissance along the Dnipro River and nearby islands.
In the Dnipro direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped an enemy attempt to land on Kruhlyk Island in the Kherson region.
According to RBC-Ukraine, this was reported by the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during a telemarathon broadcast.
“Over the past day, one combat encounter was recorded in the Dnipro direction. The enemy attempted to land on Kruhlyk Island and storm our positions there, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the enemy,” Voloshyn said.

According to him, Russian activity in this direction remains high: over the past day, the occupiers carried out about 400 kamikaze drone strikes on Kherson and nearby settlements, as well as around a hundred artillery shellings.
“The enemy is conducting local assault actions on the Antonivskyi Bridges and the islands of Bilohrudyy and Kruhlyk, which resemble more reconnaissance by combat groups and testing the density of our defenses,” the spokesperson added.
Fighting in the Kherson region
Earlier, the Defense Forces reported that Russian occupiers had partially withdrawn from certain positions on Oleksiivskyi Island near Oleshky on the left bank of the Kherson region.
As the Southern Defense Forces stated on January 25, the Russian army is conducting reconnaissance of the Dnipro River coastline and channels, striking identified targets and settlements on the right bank.
