The head of the “Servant of the People” party, Olena Shuliak, noted that the primary need of internally displaced persons (IDPs) is housing. According to her, two state programs — “eOselia” and “eVidnovlennia” — were supposed to help, and these programs are even synchronized with each other.
However, the first program is almost inaccessible to displaced persons due to its conditions, and the second one is not allocated any state funding for 2025 — only “relatively small funds” from international donors, explained the MP. Moreover, as Shuliak pointed out, residents of occupied territories cannot receive payments under the “eVidnovlennia” program.
Meanwhile, Russia has launched a large-scale information campaign, offering 45,000 rubles in compensation per square meter of destroyed housing, added the head of the “Servant of the People” party.
Earlier, the head of the working group on housing issues of the parliamentary temporary special commission for the protection of the rights of internally displaced persons, Maksym Tkachenko, stated that nearly 130,000 internally displaced persons were forced to return home to conflict zones or temporarily occupied territories.
