Ukrainian artist Carpetman won a Music Moves Europe Award 2026, highlighting the brightest young European talent and continuing the success of Ukrainian musicians on the international stage.
The European Union’s Music Moves Europe Awards 2026 announced this year’s laureates, recognizing the brightest and most progressive young artists from across Europe. Ukrainian performer Carpetman won in one of the categories, continuing the tradition of Ukrainian musicians’ success on this prestigious European platform. This was reported by LB.ua.
Carpetman is a mysterious young singer signed to the ENKO label, performing while hiding behind a carpet mask. Inspired by the work of Kaleo, Hippie Sabotage, Kygo, Elderbrook, and Jeremy Soul, he began his musical journey in mid-2023. Since then, he has written and released several singles, put out the mini-album Struggling By Myself, performed at hundreds of concerts outside Ukraine, and sold out his first solo show in the United States.

As of today, Carpetman has over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is preparing for a European tour. As the winner of the Music Moves Europe Awards 2026, he received €10,000 to develop his international career.
The winners of the Music Moves Europe Awards (MME Awards) were officially announced during a ceremony at the Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) festival in Groningen, Netherlands, on Thursday, January 15.
Alongside Carpetman (Ukraine), the 2026 MME Awards laureates included Camille Yembe (Belgium), Della (Cyprus), Sarah Julia (Netherlands), and Sofie Royer (Austria), while the jury prize went to Lia Kali (Spain). She also won the MME Public Choice Award, receiving the most support from music fans across Europe and beyond.
