Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets met with Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Tatyana Moskalkova. Results of the meeting are as follows:
▪️ The repatriation of the bodies of the deceased took place.
▪️ Ukraine once again facilitated family reunification. Following the negotiations, a 91-year-old woman was able to reunite with her son.
▪️ They exchanged letters. This included establishing a new format: delivering letters from Ukrainian relatives to Ukrainian prisoners of war in Russia.
“I emphasize that my interaction with the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights is conducted to address humanitarian issues, bring Ukrainians back home, and obtain information about our citizens in Russia,” Lubinets stated.
