Olympic Games 2024: a scandal erupts over the ammunition of Ukrainian athletes.
Kateryna Kryvolap:
“Today, the first thing I saw when I woke up was a photo of Olympic champions Marina and Vladyslava Alekseev in swimsuits designed by me. The swimsuits look beautiful, and I am proud to see my patterns on Olympic champions. However, I am deeply upset and outraged that the manufacturer of these swimsuits did not seek my permission to use my designs.”
The artist says she is “deeply upset and outraged” because when she approached the manufacturers, they assured her that the design of the uniforms was not hers. “This blatant disregard for artists’ rights is unacceptable and has shaken my faith in respect for artistic integrity.”
Kateryna Kryvolap is a Ukrainian artist who works predominantly in the Petrykivka painting style. She lives and works in Canada. Her works have been exhibited in galleries in Italy, Portugal, Canada, and also in France as part of the International Exhibition at the Louvre.
In 2024, the new technical sponsor of the NOC is the Polish brand 4F.
