The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made this statement in an interview with ZDF television.
According to him, he discussed the next Peace Summit with Volodymyr Zelensky and ‘agreed that Russia would be present at it.’
‘I believe the time has come to discuss how we can exit this war and reach peace more quickly. Another peace summit is important, and it will certainly happen. President Zelensky and I agree that it should involve Russia,’ said Scholz.
It should be noted that Germany is still not ready to lift restrictions on the use of Western weapons for strikes against targets in Russia, nor does it support shooting down missiles and drones over Ukraine. The transfer of long-range Taurus missiles is also currently not being considered.
