The 1,685th day of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.
Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
In total, 177 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday the enemy carried out one missile strike and 85 air strikes, during which it dropped 245 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders employed 9,574 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,335 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops, 39 of them using multiple-launch rocket systems.
Enemy fire, in particular, hit the settlements of Vasylivske, Tovstodubove, Mala Slobidka, Sopyh, Bachivsk, Potapivka, Korenok, Ulanove, Kucherivka, Khodyne, Malushyne, Buniachyne, Bezsalivka, Ryzhivka, Volfyne, Rohizne, Pysarivka, Nova Sich, Korchakivka, Khrapivshchyna, Sadky, Mohrytsia and Myropillia in Sumy region, and Khrinivka, Yanzhulivka, Lohy and Mykhalchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv region. Airstrikes hit the settlements of Liskivshchyna and Sumy.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck four enemy UAV command posts, four areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, three artillery systems and one other important enemy facility.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: The Defense Forces repelled one russian assault over the past day. The aggressor carried out four airstrikes using 13 guided aerial bombs and conducted 192 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, 13 of them using multiple-launch rocket systems.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled six russian attacks. The invaders tried to advance near Lyman and toward the settlements of Hoptivka, Ternova and Zakharivka.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers once tried to improve its positions by attacking toward the settlement of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attempts by the invaders to advance near the settlements of Derylove, Drobysheve, Zarichne and Lyman.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers carried out one assault in the area of Mykolaivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: one russian assault was recorded in the area of the settlement of Fedorivka Druha.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: 23 attacks were recorded. The invaders conducted offensive operations in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Novoselivka and toward Osykove, Mykolaipillia, Raiske, Torske and Novopavlivka.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian forces carried out 24 attacks. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Svitle, Vasylivka and Molodetske and toward Hannivka, Dobropillia and Serhiivka.
Oleksandryvskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy attacked once in the area of Novoheorhiivka.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers tried three times to advance in the area of Huliaipilske and toward the settlements of Kosivtseve and Kopani.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: the russian troops twice tried to improve its positions, attacking in the area of Mala Tokmachka and toward Novoiakovlivka.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers conducted no assault operations.
Volyn and Polissia Direction
08:00 AM: no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings have been detected.
In total, over the past day, Russian invaders lost 2,020 personnel. Also destroyed or neutralized were two tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 47 artillery systems, three multiple-launch rocket systems, two air-defense assets, 22 ground robotic systems, 1,855 unmanned aerial vehicles, 727 vehicles and five pieces of special equipment, as well as one heavy flamethrower system.
